Baby Grant

Little Grant and I spent some time in the studio last week.  Being 3 weeks old he was a little old for newborn pictures, but his Mommy was amazing at calming him down and assisting me the entire shoot.  This precious little guy's Daddy is a pilot, so we tried to get shots with his future flying jacket and headphones.  He wasn't having much of it, but we still got some shots for his Daddy to be proud of.

As long as this cutie had his hands balled up by his face he was a happy baby.  The minute we tried to stretch out those little fingers, he would wake up!

Decided to try some different actions in editing this next one.  It gives it more of a pastel cooler feeling than the one above which is warmer.

I got this vintage scale on a recent trip to Kalispell, Montana and I was itching to try it!  He was pretty comfy up there as long as we let him stretch out his long legs and keep his hands close to his face.  Such a cutie!

Alesia + Mike: Rustic Ranch Wedding

Alesia and I have worked together for many years and have been part of groups that advocate for women in the workplace.  I was very excited for her when she told me she was getting married and was even more excited when she asked me to photograph it!

Alesia and her bridal party got ready for the big day at the Hyatt Valencia where we also did a first look with her Dad.

Mike and Alesia got married at Blomgren Ranch and decided to do their First Look at the Ranch House itself.  With it's beautiful wrap around porch it made for a stunning backdrop.

The touches at the Reception were awesome. Personalized cactus for each guest to see where they were sitting and to take home at the end of the night.

They had wine bottle ring toss which was especially fun for some of the younger guests.

One of the most unique and awesome ideas was for their guests to sign their guestbook via Message in a Bottle.  Each bottle was labeled for years of marriage and Mike and Alesia will crack them open on each anniversary to get some words of wisdom from the folks who shared in their special day.

Even though it was pretty hot and humid that day, the greenery at the Ranch was a perfect backdrop for their vows and reception!

Baby Bodhi

My session with 3-month-old Baby Bodhi is pretty special.  He didn't get to take typical newborn pictures due to unforeseen issues that occurred after his birth.  Because of this, he spent a good amount of time in the hospital before he was allowed to come home to his family.  I was very excited to meet this brave little guy and capture some memories for his awesome parents.

His hair was so much fun and just brought a huge smile to my face and the friends I had assisting me!

Bodhi's room is done in beautiful yellow and grays.  Placing my basket on the floor allowed me to capture the color for his mom and dad to have hanging on the walls of his room.  

This bracelet he is wearing is made from an actual Bodhi Tree.  So special!

Little man was very happy after his nap, so I was able to capture a few more shots of him before I left!

Baby Elena

Baby Elena was the first little girl to come visit my new studio space inside my home.  She was such a doll and so sweet!

This beautiful mohair bonnet was hand crafted by Shannon at Rockarooz.  She has such talent and I'm so happy to work with her to provide high quality handmade items for my clients.
